Announcements FOR November 2024
  • Holiday Baskets – Trinity will continue our tradition of providing holiday food baskets for those in need in our community. We have partnered with Germantown HELP to assist families in need this year. You can either buy food or give the family a gift card and deliver the food to the family a few days before the holidays. Please see or email Diane Vellandurai, if you would like to help or have questions.
  • Save The Date – Hanging of the Greens & Advent Wreath Workshop will be held immediately following worship on Sunday, November 24th. Come learn about these ancient traditions of the church and take home an Advent wreath of your very own! This activity is designed for participants of all ages and abilities. Please see Lisa Bell for more information!

  • Neurodiversity Support Group Forming Now! – Being neurodivergent means having a brain that works differently from the average or “neurotypical” person. Examples of neurodivergence include autism, ADHD, sensory processing disorders, and Tourette’s syndrome. Those who are neurodivergent – or even just suspect they might be! – are invited to a new monthly support group. Here, we’ll share our delights, our frustrations and enjoy an environment created specifically for us. If you are interested in participating, please email Rev. Kate at kate@trinity-germantown.org!
  • Joint UMC Advent Bible Study2024Jesus’ arrival on earth changed the course of history forever. Not only for those who lived in the first century, but for every generation. The Advent season demonstrates that we are precious to Christ. Throughout the Old Testament, we find descriptions, allusions, prophecies, and even foreshadowing of the long-anticipated Messiah. The Messiah is Jesus, whose purpose and promise was not limited by His humanity. In this Bible study, we will learn that it’s not our behavior that earns the kindness of God; it is the presence of Jesus coming to Earth to be with us.
