Vacation Bible School 2019: Love Your Neighbor
This year for Vacation Bible School, children will be invited to go on an exploration of their own community. We will be exploring the times and places in the Bible that talk about the importance of loving our neighbor and exploring how the people in our community do that.
Children will begin the week by participating in the creation of a community map, including schools, churches, parks, etc. We will be inviting different community leaders into speak to the children about how they love their neighbors.
Children will be invited throughout the week to think about how they can love their neighbors and to brainstorm about how they can do that even as kids. The week will culminate in a celebration where we invite community members and families to come as the children have an opportunity to share a little about what they have learned throughout the week.
Children will begin the evening with a light dinner at 5:30 and then rotate through games, engaging a Biblical story, and activities that provide them with opportunities to explore their neighborhood and God’s calling to all of us to love our neighbors. Children will be dismissed at 7:30pm.
Registration fee for this event is $20 per child and $40 max per family. This fee will cover the cost of food and materials.
Children from age 3 all the way through 5th grade (rising 6th graders) are invited to participated in this week.
